January words of the Month: Perseverance and Coping

Dear Nipomo Elementary Families,

Welcome back and Happy New Year! I hope your winter break was filled with rest, joy, and time spent with loved ones. There is something uniquely energizing about the beginning of a new year—we are refreshed, ready for new opportunities, and the possibilities feel endless.

As we step into 2026, our focus remains on fostering a school environment where every student feels seen, supported, and challenged. For the remainder of the year, we aren't just picking up where we left off, we are looking forward to new milestones, overcoming challenges, and the simple daily victories in the classroom.

Thank you for being the heart of Nipomo Elementary. Let’s make this half of the year our best one yet!

Classroom parties will need to follow Smart Snack Nutrition Standards. This means you will NOT be able to bring cupcakes, pizza, cookies, homemade goods, etc. to your student's classroom.

Please send healthy snacks to school with your student. If you are not sure what is healthy, you can use this Smart Snack Calculator. Students should NOT be eating chips, candy, cookies, or drinking coffee drinks when they walk on to campus and during school.

We will continue to work together to ensure are students are safe and healthy while at school!
