AGHS is hosting our 4th annual Winter Spectacular!

This event invites families to our quad to experience an evening of snow, crafts, carnival games and more for free. Food is provided at nominal costs. The event is scheduled for Friday, December 12th from 5 to 7 pm. We have over a dozen clubs and a host of leadership students awaiting serving our community with a festive night!

6th-grade's See's Candy fundraiser is starting soon! Need a gift for the upcoming holidays? Order delicious See's Candy through our link below and cross those gifts off your list! Want to enjoy some tasty chocolate for yourself? Look through our catalogue and treat yourself! Fundraiser started on November 1st!

Our annual yearbook cover contest has begun! This year's theme is: Tigers stick together! Submissions should be designed to look like stickers and represent our school. Submissions are due January 23rd, read the flyer for more details!

We also have paper copies in the front of the office!

A few parking reminders:

• Please be cautious of how you park. We have received some complaints from neighbors that their driveways are being blocked during drop-off and dismissal.
• It has also come to our attention that the handicapped parking spots are being used by cars that do not have a handicap placard. We have some students who need quick and easy drop-off and pick-up procedures.
• Please only park in the 15-minute parking if drop off will be quick. If you plan on staying with your children until the bell rings please try to park in a spot with no time limit.
• Please do not park on red curbs. Those are no parking areas by the county of San Luis Obispo.
• Please do not park in office parking spots. We do try to keep office parking available since many district officials come and go to our campus to service our students.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. We do not accept any outside food for our students. We have nutritious and free lunch available to all students. A student lunch must be brought from home in a lunch box. Birthday treats are still acceptable as long as they fit in our new Wellness Policy.

We appreciate your support in maintaining healthy classrooms and following the guidelines of our District's Wellness Policy. We are working on providing our families with some recommendations for snacks. Hang tight! They are coming soon! Remember, classroom parties will need to follow Smart Snack Nutrition Standards. This means you will NOT be able to bring cupcakes, pizza, cookies, homemade goods, etc. to your student's classroom.

Please send healthy snacks to school with your student. If you are not sure what is healthy, you can use this Smart Snack Calculator.

We will continue to work together to ensure are students are safe and healthy while at school!
